Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Primrose School of Kennesaw North has been serving families in the Cobb County community since 1999.
What is your primary product or service?
Primrose School of Kennesaw North provides educational childcare services for infants through Kindergarten. Primrose also offers programs for school age children including before & after school care and summer camp programs.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My husband Tommy and I have three sons who all were enrolled in Primrose School of Kennesaw North before we became the owners in February of 2014. We were continuously amazed at how much they were learning and how well their life-skills were developing. Before we purchased the school I also had the great benefit of working for Primrose School Franchising Company. In my daily position there I saw how hard people were working behind the scenes to better the lives of children. Tommy and I knew in our hearts that this is where we should be. This is one of best life and business decisions that we could have made. To be able to see the children learn and grow in your care is the greatest reward.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
As much as a cliche as it sounds, we really are a 'family' at Primrose. My husband and I are involved in the daily operations of our business and we know each and every child and parent. Our business success can be largely attributed to the excellent customer service that we provide and the delivery of a top-rated curriculum. Word-of-mouth is our number one source of referrals and we are proud of the excellent reputation for quality childcare services that we offer our Primrose School of Kennesaw North families.

What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
The best and most satisfying is when parents, whose children went through out program and are now in elementary, middle or high school, come back and share with us how well their child is doing in school (academically and socially). It confirms that we have done our job-and we've done it well!
Another enormous compliment is when parents enroll their child in our school who live 10-15 miles away and have to pass many other childcare centers to reach us. That's the ultimate compliment! We were one of those families as well!
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts.
